Dress code helps young dancers focus in class by understanding they're going to a structured class, teaches discipline and ensures that clothing is comfortable and not a distraction during class. A proper dance attire also enables the teacher to see dancers' position and movements in order to give necessary corrections for the benefit of the dancer’s education.
Suggested options for dress code: Leggings, pants, t-shirts. Long hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.
*No jeans, dresses, or skirts. To avoid an unhealthy crowding in studio spaces, we ask that parents and guardians drop their dancers off at the door. They are welcome to wait outside the class in the waiting area for the duration of class. Parents and guardians will be able to watch their
dancers periodically for the last 10 mins of class on observation days. Dates will be communicated via email before the session begins. If class is cancelled, you will be notified via email and text. No refunds will be issued for cancelled classes, but make-up classes will be offered.
Regular attendance is essential to your dancer’s growth and success. Please do your best not to miss classes. We know things happen! A total of 3 class make ups are allowed for sick days, family emergencies, and being out of town. Please email us to

Please email info@rhythmrootsdance.com to schedule make up. During the winter and spring session, we do not encourage make-ups as they will be learning their recital dances and could fall behind in their class and be confused learning a dance in their make-up class.Class music and practice videos will be posted on the session page so you can access them at any time. Please check your post-registration email for details.
In addition to small in-class demos throughout the year, we will host an annual dance recital at the end of the winter-spring session. This recital is catered to be a fun, positive, age-appropriate experience. The recital is not required but encouraged for all
dancers...memories to last a lifetime!
The dance recital also allows dancers to fully experience performing art and the unique feeling of being on stage in front of anaudience, which in turn will boost their self-confidence in everything they do. Please check the class registration details to learn more about this year's recital.
