Rhythm Roots is a Chicago-based dance company dedicated to empowering children by fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of Indian dance and culture. At the heart of Rhythm Roots is the belief that dance is for everyone.
We embrace people of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels, fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated. We offer kids classes, school programs, private lessons, special event services for birthday parties and more!

Our Services
KIDS CLASSES
Rhythm Roots' signature kids group classes combine dance and cultural themes with a focus on teaching fundamentals of dance, fostering creativity and building confidence via an age-appropriate curriculum.
Our classes include a dynamic warm up, fun dance routines set to Bollywood music that give kids a broader understanding and appreciation of India's rich and vibrant culture, and a cool down with yoga stretches.
SPRING RECITAL
We hold an annual recital every Spring. The recital is a ticketed show where your dancer will showcase all their training and hard work from classes taken throughout the session on stage. Your dancer will perform two dances with their class!
An event such as the recital is often a ‘first’ for many families and their young dancer. Our recital is a celebration, not a competition. We aim to create a fun, inviting, and non-intimidating recital day for our dancer’s and families to remember! We want everyone feeling comfortable, confident and excited!
